DEMO have managed to mentor, train and educate more than 30 Women Entrepreneurs (WE) in Dar es salaam, through branding, product development and commercialization. The program consists of Intellectual Property (IP) awareness, entrepreneurship development. Moreover, Women Entrepreneurs were trained on how to brand their products and services by the added value of IP.
By the help of IP expert, WEs created good business names for trading, designed logos/marks for distinguishing them from their competitors, currently 26+ business names and 21+ marks/logos were registered and filed at Business Registration and Licensing Agency (BRELA).
The main objective of this project is “to promote gender equality, empower Women Entrepreneurs business through Intellectual Property and create a supportive ecosystem for their Brandings, Product development and to ensure that IP is well utilized for economic development of Tanzania”.
